Decent? Think again...

"You are the most decent guy I've ever met" says my friend.

"You should really reflect upon yourself" she added.

And you wonder what that means. It should be a good comment especially when it's coming from a girl. But when she asked to reflect upon yourself, that's when things gone awry.

I'll tell you what she meant.
Nope. I don't think I'm telling anyone.
Think yourself...

I'm sorry i'm bad.

I always believe in first impression.
They look at you for the first time and they trust you to be a Mr.Nice Guy.
Of course, what we do after that counts as well.

If you do something real bad, your good-first-impression will be gone. And it takes like forever to gain back what you've lost.
Okay, I'm exaggerating. It sure needs a lot of effort.

But, don't we need more time to actually know who a person is?
Just because he/she is nice the first time you met doesn't mean he/she can never be evil.

Don't judge a book by its cover.

Looks can be deceiving.

Yea...looks can be deceiving. The next time you see a pretty girl, don't talk to her. She might cheat all your money and run away with other pervert. Tell me where she is and let me go deal with her. I'll make her a good person. Keke.

I'm sorry I'm bad.

Message from the Honorable Minister of Higher Education...

On this auspicious and meaningful Convocation Day, I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all of you for the success achieved and a work well done. I hope that this success to which you have placed great dedication to and worked so hard for will have a great significance in your life as well as the life of your family. It is also my solemn hope that you will continue to upgrade yourself in terms of knowledge and expertise so that you will become more productive and a great asset to the country.

We must remember that the world we live in is full of change; and the challenges we face are many. For this reason we must be on the alert and we must take the necessary steps to ensure that the national education system is ever relevant and that the graduates from the institutions of higher learning in this country are of quality. With this in mind, a research is already underway to get the perceptions and opinions of every graduating student from all the institutions of higher learning in the country on their experiences while they were still studying. Based on the valuable feed back that you will be providing through this research, the Ministry as well as your own institution will get a more accurate picture of your learning environment. This in turn will help us to identify weaknesses that could be remedied in a more strategic manner.

The Ministry as well as your University values the sincere and accurate feedback that you will be providing us. The Ministry also hopes that all of you will continue to assist us in the future in providing your opinion through follow-up questionnaires which we hope will help to build a workforce of greater caliber that can assist in the progress of the country.

I would like again to wish you success in your future undertakings.

The beginning of another beginning.

School reopens this week.
Nope...University reopens this week.

After one week of orientation, the freshies are finally on their own. It was like only yesterday when I first came to University Science Malaysia. There were rarely any trees around. Now, they chopped down trees so that the freshies can plant it again. How ironic. And their excuse is that they want to plant fruit trees. Mangosteen they said.

Picture before they chopped down the trees.

But i guess the reason behind it was to destroy the big red ants. It so happens that the idea of planting something that can be eaten crossed their mind.

It's been 2 months since our batch left uni and most of them had already landed on a good job. But for some people like me, we stay.
We stay to fight.
It's not easy when friends are working and get promoted and we stay as green as we were 4 years ago to continue studies.

My working friends is supportive though. This is a good thing. Maybe after 2 years they get promoted and they might hire me to work for them. Symbiosis. Haha.

Work experience is important. Qualification is only important for big big company. But with skills and qualification, you can go anywhere.

Final week in final year

Less than 40 days from now, we will be officially graduated. We will receive the transcript we've been dreaded for.

A piece of paper which means recognition.

The next time we see, we'll be wearing a robe.

15th August 2008, 3.30pm, Dewan Tun Syed Putra.
Undergraduates of Year 2004

Yet another options.

Life should be great when you have more than one options.
I let go one, another came.
It's too tempting.

But just when you need a supportive friend to agree with you, they let you down.
There's no one to blame of course. Blame myself for being indecisive.

Or maybe I should stop blaming myself.
Blame them for being inconsiderate.
Yea....you people! Be considerate will ya!

Because if you not, I'm going to crush your dream the next time I see you!
